Here is a few general information about our rules and regulations, patient rights, responsibilities, admission process, and other details. This will help in case if you have any clarifications regarding our hospital working behavior and other policies. This is applicable for both In – patient and Out – patient services.

Patient Rights

Right to Information (RTI) : You have every right to receive information and other details like the name and qualification of your treating doctor / staff, your state of health and possibilities to overcome, complications and prevention, current treatment plan or change in it, use of medications, maintenance of diet and nutrition, approximate cost of treatment / procedure, extra cost implications in case of any change in it and also address any other concern that you may have regarding your illness / disease. You have the right to know all your treatment options and also participate in decisions related to your treatment and change the treating doctor if required.

Right to Consent : You have the right to give or withhold your consent for any treatment / procedure you opted for. You have the right to seek second medical opinion with other doctors / health professionals / relatives before giving your consent. You also have the choice of giving consent for treatment under clinical research / trail. But, once given consent / signed clearly, there is no point of withdrawing it back or discarding it in any means. You will be informed by your doctor / staff about the complications in treatment / procedure and also chances to overcome it. All the patient / treatment related data if once entered electronically, there is no point of deleting it.

Right to Privacy : You have the right to receive complete privacy during consultation, examination, treatment and other procedures. Your healthcare related / personal information will be secured electronically and in paper also. But, these information may only be disclosed with your permission except when required legally or asked by law.

Right to Respect : You have the right to receive appropriate treatment / equal respect regardless of race, culture, religion, age, gender or any physical ability. You will not be subjected to any kind of discriminatory abuse or neglect.

Right to Quality Care : You will receive all the medical care in accordance will reasonably expected professional standards of care as laid by the government or any other equal bodies. We try to provide excellent and professionalized health care in every aspect. You can share your ideas which may help us in even laying still good quality standards.

Patient Responsibilities

  • A patient or concerned attendants / relatives should have the responsibility to address any problem that you have regarding your disease / problem / complication.

  • Should provide complete and accurate information including full name, address other personal information if any wherever asked, which helps us to maintain records, in diagnosis or resolving your problem by our doctors / health professionals.

  • Provide complete and accurate history about your present health condition, past illnesses, hospitalizations, treatments undergone, medications or any other details that is related to your health or present problem, to your treating doctor / health professional. Providing false information may lead to mis – diagnosis and can cause complications. Hospital is not held responsible in this case.

  • Follow the prescribed treatment plan, medications and all other instructions given carefully. Please attend follow – ups for your treatment as requested by your doctor. Failure to attend your scheduled follow – up may cause disturbances in treatment plan. This may lead to complications or other problems.

  • Clarify your concern regarding your disease / treatment plan and medications twice clearly when you do not understand any detail given by your doctor or health professional. Inform them if you face any problem in the prescribed treatment or considering any alternative choices.

  • Accept responsibility for the decisions you make regarding your treatment. Take the advice of your doctor, carefully listen and accept the options given by your doctor which helps in speedy recovery.

  • Please take your medications in a timely manner as prescribed by your doctor. You can ask them if there is any problem or adverse side effects, so that they can change your medicine / treatment plan.

  • Be on time for appointments. Cancel or reschedule appointments in advance as possible if you are unable to attend. In case if there is any problem with us, we will inform you in advance and reschedule as soon as possible.

  • Do not take any medications on your own without the knowledge it. Ask your doctor or health professionals. Inform them if your condition worsens or does not improve as planned. Do not to give medication prescribed for you to others.

Patient Rules and Regulations

  • Strictly follow the NO SMOKING policy within the hospital premises. Smoking and chewing tobacoo is an offence and will be taken very seriously.

  • Ensure that all your visitors / relatives / attendants strictly follow the visitor timings as instructed. Please reduce the number of visitors into the patient treatment / admitted area, because it may lead to infections and complications furthur. Only 2 attenders are allowed for each patient and Hospital is not responsible for any other complications in-spite of instructing.

  • Kindly reduce the noise levels inside the hospital, shouting / talking loudly is prohibited. This gives privacy and safety of other patients and staff which helps in speedy recovery.

  • Weapons, flammable material, alcohol are strictly prohibited within the premises. Please reduce the use of electronic gadgets like mobile phones / other communicating devices mainly nearby patient area. These may produce non-ionising radiations which can cause harm to the patient.

  • Treat hospital staff, other patients, and visitors with courtesy and respect. Man-handeling / abusing / mis-behaving with staff members or other patients will be handled very seriously. Talk politely with staff members during processing your reports or in admission.

  • Provide complete and accurate information of your insurance / claims, have patience and work with the hospital for processing claims and ensure to make payments, if the claim is denied.

  • Pay for services billed in a timely manner as per the hospital rules and seek clarification if you have any concern. Please don’t give money or other valuables to any of our staff. The billing is only authorized for staff in reception / front desk. Hospital is not responsible for any loss / mis – understanding.

  • Be aware that the estimations given for the services / treatment plan are approximate and are likely to change accordingly with type of service / duration of treatment / stay or category of bed changes.

  • Respect situations when the medical condition of another patient may become more urgent / worsen, respect the doctor’s ability to judge and accept the fact that the Doctor may need to attend that patient first.

In-Patient admission process

If your condition is serious or if needed to perform any procedure / surgery or to monitor your health status, your doctor will admit you. This describes your admission process ;

  • First, your doctor will inform the reception / front desk or health professional associated to get you admitted. 

  • Then, they fill out a form that includes information like your treatment plan, preferred room type, approximate days of hospitalization and consent. This is called as Case sheet / Treatment chart.

  • You may approach the front desk / admission in-charge and place your name for admission and choose your desired category of bed.

  • If you are eligible for cashless hospitalization which is covered under your insurance, it will be first confirmed your admission in – charge You will be given the necessary information regarding that and will be assisted on any documentation required for all the approvals.

  • If your case is an emergency, you will be automatically put on the priority care list. In this case, you will be first admitted in any available room until your health condition is normal. Then your concerned staff member will take you or any of your attendant to process the necessary documentation required and change of room. 

  • Payment is to be made only in reception / front desk to authorized staff personnel only. In case of an emergency, minimal payment can be made after authorization from the concerned authority.
